As tensions across the Israel-Lebanon border escalate, Israeli forces have fired at several U.N. positions in the south of Lebanon in the past week, injuring at least four U.N. peacekeepers.

The peacekeepers belong to the U.N. Interim Force in Lebanon, or UNIFIL, an international interim force that has been stationed along the Lebanon-Israel border to ensure stability and security for more than 45 years.
